Trip Introduction
Rock Climbing in Nepal is becoming one of the hottest sports to do for visitor and locals due to the awesome natural rock faces in majestic settings.
Day 1:Rock climbing
We take you to the beautiful Nagarjun Forest for a full day of climbing at this diverse rock face.
This day trip is perfect for first-time climbers all the way up to expert – routes are varying levels of difficulty, chimney climbs, and bouldering. For more experience climbers, ask us about other guided rock climbing Nepal trips.
If you have a day to spend near Kathmandu, why not try rock climbing in the climbing capital of the world! This is not Everest, but you will spend the day in one of the countries most beautiful forest and spend some time on the crags where the Nepal Army trains. These routes start at 5.7 and go up to 5.11. They feature over-hangs, a multi-pitch area, and boulders. Even if you are not a great climber, there’s something fun for everyone here.
You will hike from the road near Balaju about 2 kilometers back into the forest before we ascend the trail to this crag. Look for exotic birds and animals along the way. Feel the energy of this ancient forest. While just a few miles from the bustling city of Kathmandu, this forest is a tranquil escape from the noisy streets of Nepal’s capital.
